This beige trench coat and green cargo pants look was the perfect outfit to wear while shopping in the city. This jacket coat has a super airy loose fit and has a super light feel and It’s a perfect layer to add to just about any look. I love that you can create a super dressy look or a more casual look. This time I went for a more casual-chic vibe and paired this trench coat with a basic striped t-shirt and some nude heels.

Beige Trench Coat and Green Cargo Pants | Confessions From a Fashion Blogger

I’m back, with a new outlook, and some fresh ideas, along with this fun beige trench coat and cargo pants combo that I am loving for Spring.

Fashion Blogger Confessions

But first, I feel that I need to talk about the elephant in the room.. you know, why I haven’t blogged in a while. I feel that I need to be honest and tell you exactly why, and it’s something I do not feel extremely comfortable sharing, but I feel I owe the truth to you guys…

The reason is, because I found myself wanting to make this a legitimate business so badly, that by the last few months, I ended up doing it more for the money and less because I love it..

Gross right? Don’t you hate when bloggers do this? I do, and I was one of those…

I started to receive several collaboration offers from different companies, and my inbox was getting pretty full. Being a new blogger who never could have guessed that I could ever make any money at this, it was very exciting and rewarding to see the fruit coming from my efforts. For a few months, I ended up making just as much as I was making at my day job and it was exciting to me, but I knew that I just didn’t feel right about it. Although I have never advertised for a company I didn’t believe in, I still was advertising more for companies doing more sponsored posts, and sharing less of what I wanted to share in the first place..

Taking A Step Back

I stopped blogging for a few months because I was pretty upset with myself, and I knew I needed to take a step back and really get my priorities in check before I continued to blog again. This is not an easy thing for me to share, but I also decided Im going to open myself up and share things that are real, that aren’t always said because I do feel like in the blogging industry, a lot of time people will only see half of the story, and only the pretty side of things. I do see an importance to not only share the good, but also the true and the real parts.

Putting My Readers First

I still do consider my blog to be a creative space where I can share everything that I love, and I hope people can come here and feel good, because that is honestly what I want, to be a giver of good vibes, and good things. However, this blog has really blessed my life and more importantly my families life, and I plan to continue to work with companies but always put my readers first.

It’s time to really make my blog what I wanted it to be in the first place. The new Style Gala, will be a place where I will celebrate life and share absolutely all of the things that I love including but not limited to, fashion, travel, DIY home projects, keeping it real, and sharing all of the things that I think make life great. Thank you so much to everyone who continues to show support and the positive encouragement means everything to me.
